The Turkey's attempt to block access to twitter has draw the ire's of it's many tech-savvy users,
Turkey's telecommunication authority has said that it had block access to the social network after it's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdugan threats to "rip out the roots" of the website.
According to Lufti Elvan, Turkey's minister in charge of transportation and communications that the government has merely obeying court orders.
Istanbul lawyers group argued the court decisions were about blocking access to websites deemed to be violating privacy - not the entire website.
President Abdullah Gul, once a political ally of Erdugan was among of tthose who against the order,which he contested in the series of tweet and very vocal against internet censorship.
