Gunbound, the classic MMO turn-based artillery PC game, is making a major comeback in Southeast Asia (SEA) and Latin America (LATAM), the regions where it made a lasting impact, announced publisher Gravity Game Hub (GGH) and developer Softnyx.
"We are excited to bring this beloved iconic game [Gunbound] back for a new generation of players while preserving the elements that made the original so legendary," said Gravity Game Hub president Harry Choi.
Prior to its official launch, Gunbound conducts a closed beta test (CBT), bringing various events and rewards for players in the mentioned regions.
"The Closed Beta Test marks a crucial milestone in delivering a polished and enjoyable experience for the final release," stated Choi.
According to the official Gunbound GGH Facebook page, the CBT event runs from 16 January 2025 at 3 PM GMT+8 to 30 January 2025 at 11 AM GMT +8. Check out more details below.
Gunbound CBT Overview
The dynamic blend of strategy and customization of Gunbound lets players customize their avatars, choose mobiles with unique weapons and abilities, and compete with others in several multiplayer modes.
Players take turns to hit opponents by calculating angles and shot power. To succeed, they must understand the terrain and adjust to changing weather, which can affect the shot's trajectory. The game requires players to think critically, make quick decisions, and adapt to master its strategies.
The CBT introduces several upgrades and new features to enhance the player experience. Key improvements include a new user interface (UI) launcher, and the development team has fixed compatibility issues found during the Alpha test to ensure smoother gameplay for all users.
Gunbound CBT Events and Rewards
Beyond these enhancements, Gunbound PC fans can also look forward to events and rewards exclusive to the CBT phase.
Massive In-Game Currency Boost: Players receive 1 million Gold and 1 million Cash to customize their avatars and experiment with the shop's offerings.
Special Login Reward: Log in daily and earn at least 100 GP to claim special prizes during the Grand Launch. Complete all daily login quests and receive the Paper Airplane.
Weekend Buff: Enjoy the weekend with an additional 100 percent buff for GP and Gold boosts. (from Friday, 11 AM GMT+8 to Sunday, 11 PM GMT+8)
CBT Top 50: Top 50 players will obtain exclusive rewards, such as Glasses: Eagle, making the event more competitive. These rewards will be awarded upon the game's official launch.
How do I join the Gunbound Closed Beta Test?
- Open your web browser and visit https://ift.tt/N8TfRkQ (for SEA) or https://gunboundggh.com (for LATAM).
- Click "Register" and fill out the required details.
- Check your email after registering to link your Gravity ID to your in-game account.
- Download the game client and log in using your Gnjoy account.
Notes:
- You can log in to Gunbound using your existing Gravity Game Hub account.
- All characters created and items obtained during the Closed Beta stage will be deleted.
