Genshin Impact Version 5.4, bringing a new character and events, is scheduled for release on February 12, 2025, HoYoverse announced. The new update allows you to enjoy the Mikawa Flower Festival in Inazuma, promising a moment of relaxation. The clinical psychologist, Yumemizuki Mizuki, will also join the playable roster as a 5-star Anemo Catalyst user. Additionally, further system optimizations will be introduced to the game.

Here are the highlights of the Version 5.4 Patch Update:
- Seasonal Event: Inazuma celebrates the return of the Mikawa Flower Festival, a traditional event where people and youkai team up to offer fun mini-games. Raiden Shogun will make a special appearance.
- New Character: Yumemizuki Mizuki is a new support character. She boosts her team's Swirl DMG and heals her teammates.
- Event Wishes (Banners): The first phase includes Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne. The second phase includes Furina and Wriothesley. Mizuki will be available in the Standard Wish banner after Version 5.5.
- Mini-Games: This event features four new mini-games. Players can enjoy open-world companion encounters, a multiplayer fishing game, a film editing challenge, and a combat event.
- New Optimizations: The Training Guide will now include Level-Up Plans, along with other improvements to make leveling up characters easier.
Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Update Overview
The Mikawa Flower Festival, a celebration of human-youkai relations, returns with more parties, challenges, and rewards to enjoy. Raiden Shogun will attend, researching a strange nightmare. The "48-hour game development competition" created thrilling games to entertain gamers. Play "A Little Fox's Daydream," where you guide a fox through its dreams to acquire Fried Tofu and reach its destination. For brain teasers, try "Bunshin Phantasm." Muji-Muji Daruma will imitate the player's previous round actions in this unique encounter. Three rounds are needed to open the goal bridge using Daruma's imitations. The beloved "Akitsu Yuugei" returns as "Akitsu Harpastum." Players must evade bullets and return their harpastum to stay alive in this game. Play the games to gain Festival Stamps and get a new 4-star polearm, "Tamayuratei no Ohanashi."
Yumemizuki Mizuki, a clinical psychologist and main shareholder of the Aisa Bathhouse, is a 5-star Anemo Catalyst user. She will feature her special treatments in her new Story Quest. Her Elemental Skill activates her Dreamdrifter state, a vital battle feature. In this state, she deals area-of-effect (AoE) Anemo damage and boosts her team's Swirl damage (DMG) when nearby teammates hit enemies with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro attacks. Moreover, her Elemental Burst spawns a Mini Baku that produces Yumemi-style Special Snacks. These Snacks heal party members with less than 70% HP when picked up. If a party member has over 70% HP, the Snacks explode, causing AoE Anemo damage. Healing food can also restore 30% HP to all characters if Mizuki is included in the party.
Yumemizuki Mizuki will make her debut in the first half of Version 5.4's Event Wishes, alongside a rerun of Sigewinne. In the second half, Furina and Wriothesley will have reruns. After the Version 5.5 update, Mizuki will join the Standard Wish banner.
In addition, more exciting events are coming soon. "Travelers' Tales: Anthology Chapter" lets players explore engaging stories about their favorite characters. This update also includes mini-games like the fishing game "Invasive Fish Wrangler" with Co-Op and competitive modes, the combat event "Realm of Tempered Valor," and the film editing challenge "Reel Ad-Venture."
On top of that, this update makes adventuring and combat easier with several system optimizations. Players can now create Level-Up Plans for their characters in the Training Guide. Once these plans are set, you will see the required materials and where to find them. The filter systems for Characters and Weapons are simpler now, making it easier to navigate the interfaces. Also, an Auto Add button is now available in the Weapon Refinement interface to make the process faster.
