Mobile MOBA game Honor of Kings (HOK) announced a lineup of events and free rewards for the Year of the Snake, running from today till February 12, 2025.
HOK invites players to join special festival events. The New Year celebration includes limited-edition skins, a Year of the Snake market full of offers and rewards, a new battlefield theme, and a chance to win a free Legendary Skin and Snake Heroes.

Celebrate the Year of the Snake 2025 with exciting new skins in Honor of Kings. Enhance your gameplay with these beautiful skin designs: "Wish of Order" for Lam, "Wish of Abundance" for Consort Yu, "Wish of Harmony" for Daji, and "Wish of Eternity" for Nuwa. Year of the Snake Market
This limited-time vibrant market, available from January 24 to February 12, 2025, with a daily refresh time of 5:00 (UTC+0), has the following offers.
Collect "Snake Cake": Join Daily and Limited Missions to collect "Snake Cake." You can trade and redeem them. Daily Missions reset each day, while Limited Missions can only be completed once during the event.
Trade "Snake Cake": Sell your "Snake Cake" in your market or in other players' markets to earn "Snake Coins." Market prices for "Snake Cake" reset daily, so check your friends' markets for much better deals and more "Snake Coins."
Earn Bonus Income: When other HOK players sell "Snake Cake" in your market, you earn five percent of the takings. Share your market code with others to increase your earnings.
Redeem Rewards: Use your "Snake Coins" in the Redemption Shop to get a free exclusive Legendary Skin.
New Themed Map
From January 24 to February 12, 2025, Honor of Kings players can enjoy the "Rune Blessing" battlefield theme. During matches, an in-game announcement will notify players about a random rune spawning at the riverside. After the first rune appears two minutes into the game, there will be a 15-second cooldown shown on the minimap.
After the first rune, new runes will spawn every minute until 10 minutes have passed. Any runes that players do not collect will stay on the map. The main battlefield rune lasts for 2 minutes, during which players can't pick up another rune.
Here are the effects of each rune:
- Gold Gain: Receive gold instantly and continue to earn gold afterward.
- Mana Gain: Instantly restores mana and provides continuous mana restoration (can't be converted to a bit of life restoration for mana-striped Heroes).
- Recovery Gain: Instantly restores health; maintains sustained health recovery, even after the battle.
- Speed Boost: Delivers an instant speed burst that lasts a short time.
- Cooldown Gain: Reduce skill cooldowns immediately and speed up skill cooldown rotation.
Get Free Year of the Snake HOK Heroes
Honor of Kings offers players the chance to snag some amazing Heroes for free from January 28 to February 12, 2025.
During the event period, you can obtain Lam, Nuwa, Consort Yu, and Daji. Collect tokens throughout the event to choose two Heroes you want to unlock. You will also receive a seven-day Experience Card for all these four Heroes.
Here's how you can get these heroes:
- Log in daily to get 2 Exchange Coins.
- Play 1 game each day to earn 1 Exchange Coin and keep the rewards coming.
- Play 3 games in a day to receive 2 Exchange Coins.
- Team up for 3 matches to earn 15 Exchange Coins.

How to Obtain Red Packets
1. Earn Red Packets Via Two Events
- Sign in from January 24 to February 12, 2025, to get 20 Lucky Red Packets.
- Join matches each day from January 28 to February 4, 2025, to earn 40 Lucky Red Packets.
2. Open Lucky Red Packets for Rewards
Each red packet gives you rewards like diamonds, skin fragments, starstones, or a random skin chest.
- Guaranteed Reward: Open 10 red packets to get a Random Skin Chest with a skin you don't already have.
3. Skin Chest Rewards
You can get different skins, such as Rare Skin, Kickoff Skin, and Epic Skin.
4. Where to Use Lucky Red Packets
- You can send and open them in the World Chat Channel (up to 2 times a day).
- You can distribute and open them during Hero Selection in Matches (also limited to 2 times a day).
Note: To distribute red packets during Hero selection, you must have the free Spring Festival skin [Li Bai - Vulpes Aeternus] or the related skin experience card.
Eight-Day Buff Bonus
Play three matches daily to earn double rewards, such as Starstones, Experience, and Bravery Points. You can only earn double rewards for a maximum of three games per day during the event from January 28 to February 4, 2025. All ranks can join in. This bonus is active all day, from 00:00 to 23:59 (UTC+0).
Sign-In Event
Log in daily from January 24 to February 12, 2025, to collect great rewards. You can receive 10 Koi Blessing Intimacy, 1,500 Arcana Fragments, the permanent avatar "Give Me Angpao," several Lucky Red Packets, the "Golden Snake New Year" avatar frame, and a Spring Festival title.
