It's officially confirmed. Onic Philippines (formerly Fnatic Onic PH), the M6 World champions, picked Joy for the M6 Champion Skin to co-design with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) maker Moonton, while Finals MVP (FMVP) Kelra chose Beatrix Skin.
In a statement, Moonton said the Filipino team was given the chance to work with them as part of the perks for winning the world's biggest Mobile Legends tournament, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in December 2024.
According to Paul Denver "Coach Yeb" Miranda, Onic Esports VP for Esports Franchise, Joy herself basically represents the team in terms of "her skills and color."
Coach Yeb added that, "Joy is one of K1ngkong's signature heroes." And when Onic PH chose the assassin hero, "the crowd went crazy."
Joy, the Flash of Miracle, was chosen by Onic PH to honor Cyric "K1ngkong" Perez's amazing M6 performance. To be revealed later in 2025, the M6 skin was inspired by the bold moves, lightning-fast reactions, and clutch moments of the team's jungler.
Coach Yeb said Joy represents happiness and excitement, and the squad wants to share that with their community when they see their skin, co-designed with MOONTON Games.
"Her [Joy] story is a reflection of our own journey: a relentless pursuit of greatness, filled with challenges and determination," stated Coach Yeb. "After years of growth and progress, we finally reached the pinnacle of success together."
On the other hand, MOONTON Games offers Grant "Kelra" Pillas the opportunity to co-design chosen hero Beatrix, the Dawnbreak Soldier, for her M6 MVP Skin.
As M6 World Championship's Finals MVP (FMVP), Kelra, the "Gold Standard," became the first player to win all FMVPs in three major Mobile Legends events, including Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL), MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC), and M Series.
Onic PH's gold laner Kelra said he feels "happy and honored to co-design Beatrix." He added that the FMVP skin he will work on will help signify his legacy in Mobile Legends Esports.
According to Kelra, he chose Beatrix because he embodied some of the marksman hero's attributes, such as her ability to adapt and be precise when shooting enemies.
Currently, MOONTON Games and ONIC Philippines are discussing in-game commemorative skins that are slated for release in September 2025. More events leading to the launch of M6 Champion Joy Skin and FMVP Beatrix Skin will be announced.
To recall, Indonesia's EVOS Legends selected Harith for the M Champion skin in 2019. After Filipino teams won M2 and M3, Bren Esports chose Lancelot, and Blacklist International picked Estes. Chou's M4 Champion skin was chosen by ECHO PH. M5 World Champions AP Bren co-designed Brody's champion skin and Paquito's first FMVP skin.
