Game Overview

Gunbound, a classic turn-based shooting game for PC with 2D graphics, is making a major comeback in 2025. Its combination of strategy and customization lets players customize their avatars, choose mobiles with unique abilities, and compete with others (up to 8 players in a room) in different game modes.

Players take turns launching mobile projectiles toward other players or jewels, regardless of game mode. During their turn, players can control their mobile by moving left or right, adjusting their shot angle for aim, using an item, and choosing a shot (Shot 1, Shot 2, and SS). To succeed, players must know the terrain and anticipate weather changes that can impact shot trajectory.

Gunbound offers several exciting game modes, including Solo, Tag, Score, and Jewel. All game modes need two teams (blue and red), each with the same number of players.

The game features different mobiles or tanks. Each mobile fits into one of three defense categories: Mechanical, Shield, and Bionic. They also belong to one of four attack categories: Laser, Electrical, Explosion, and Impact.

You will be able to play classic mobiles, including Armor, Mage, Nak Machine, Trico, Bigfoot, Boomer, Raon Launcher, Lightning, J.D., A.Sate, Ice, Turtle, Grub, Aduka, Kalsiddon, J.Frog, Knight, and Dragon.

Among the enhancements introduced during the CBT is a revamped interface (UI) launcher.

Are you excited about Gunbound coming back? Did you play this classic online PC game when it first launched in the Philippines in 2004, either in computer shops or on your own desktop? What mobiles do you usually play? Comment below. Personally, I found Nak Machine (the mechanical spider) and Boomer (the boomerang mobile) hard to use, while Raon Launcher, Lightning, Mage, and JD were easier for me.
