Honkai Star Rail Version 3.1 Update, a major one, is slated for release on February 26, 2025, HoYoverse announced. Titled "Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne," the latest patch brings a new map, Grove of Epiphany, and two new playable 5-star characters, Tribbie and Mydei, new events, and warp banners.

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.1 Update Overview
Nikador's Coreflame was retrieved in the previous chapter. Still, the Flame-Chase Journey is a race against time. With this crucial milestone reached, preparations have begun for the next. Players will play as messengers in Version 3.1, traveling to the new "Grove of Epiphany" map, where the quest takes on new meaning.
The Grove of Epiphany, a respected city-state honoring Cerces, the Reason Titan, is Amphoreus' knowledge oasis and is close to Okhema. Known for its essential intellectual contributions to the Flame-Chase Journey, the Grove has long researched the black tide and Titans, advancing knowledge. Cerces, like Kephale, loves humanity and generously transformed the Grove into a sanctuary for knowledge seekers, providing rest, study, and worldly learning to mortals previously in ignorance. This learning center was recently attacked by the black tide. A mysterious foe wants Cerces' Coreflame amid the commotion. The Version 3.1 Trailblaze Mission requires players to rescue survivors, unearth disaster realities, and regain Cerces' Coreflame.
In HSR Version 3.1's Main Story, players will use Oronyx to awaken past memories and find the "Abyss of Fate," formerly "Janusopolis," in its Day State on a new map. Long-buried mysteries from the "Era Chrysea," including Tribbie, the latest 5-star playable character, will be revealed.
Tribios, the Holy Maiden of "Janusopolis," is the first demigod of Amphoreus. Heeding the prophecy of Deliverance from Kephale, she used the "Century Gate" to become thousands of Messengers and spread the prophecy. As a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Harmony, Tribbie aids the Chrysos Heirs during the Flame-Chase Journey. In battle, she is a good support as she can buff the team. She can create a zone that increases enemy damage taken and deals Additional DMG to the enemy with the highest HP whenever they are attacked. Tribbie also frequently triggers Follow-up ATKs, enhancing her squad's combat potential and helping them secure swift victories.
On the other hand, Mydei is a 5-star Imaginary character and the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos, known for his lion-like warrior skills. Following the Path of Destruction, he uses his Max HP in battle, consuming it to charge and enter an enhanced form. In this state, he automatically attacks enemies on his turn, dealing increased damage and demonstrating his royal might.
Yunli and Huohuo, both limited 5-star characters, will return in the first and second halves of the Honkai Star Rail Version 3.1 warp event (banner), respectively. Their assistance makes them invaluable allies for your journeys.
Moreover, HSR Version 3.1 events include a new season of Divergent Universe focused on Amphoreus. The battles feature a "Day and Night System," switching between day and night. Each state has unique boosts, and transitions trigger additional effects. This system and its Blessings are linked to the Titans and the Chrysos Heirs, enriching the gameplay with strategy and lore. Players can also participate in The Awooo Firm event, managing the chimera squad in Okhema to help them rise as the strongest team.
