NetEase Games and Bad Guitar Studio unveiled a new trailer with more details on FragPunk ahead of its release on March 6 next week on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
The free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter is all about letting players use the power of Shard Cards to break classic shooter rules and arrives with over 150 cards, as well as 13 characters, 20 weapons, 7 maps, multiple game modes, and more.
Prior to its launch, the game offered Pioneer Bundles containing various cosmetics and accessories and a Premium Battle Pass Voucher, depending on the chosen platform. In the Philippines, the FragPunk Pioneer Bundle is priced at 585 Pesos on Steam.

Shard Cards
FragPunk's gameplay centers around Shard Cards, which modify match rules dynamically. Over 150 cards, including 80 new ones, will be available at launch, from buffs to global effects. Players can create powerful combos and synergies by combining cards with their Lancer's abilities for added strategic depth.
Some of the new Shard Cards include:
- Dimensional Travel: Travel between two worlds where players cannot see each other.
- Black Hole Traps: When traps are triggered, they create black holes.
- Feinting Flash: When you drop your primary weapon, it creates a flash-bang effect.
Casual Modes
FragPunk offers several casual game modes alongside the competitive Shard Clash, featuring Outbreak—a zombie-survival twist with infected players joining a horde—along with One Shot (One-Shot-One-Kill), Melee Death Match (Knife-Only), and Sniper Death Match (Sniper-Only).
New Lancer, Maps, and Weapons
FragPunk launches with 13 Lancers and 7 Shard Clash maps. The new trailer teases Chum, a rock-made robot with a fish buddy that shapes his personality and combat style, and the Dongtian map, an oriental battleground set in a floating mountain palace.
Further, the launch arsenal will include 20 weapons, featuring the Highlife sniper rifle for aggressive play and the Burner, a secondary weapon that fires incendiary bombs, creating areas of continuous damage for enemies.

To celebrate the official release, FragPunk welcomes all players, offering them various free in-game rewards:

Future Roadmap
Bad Guitar Studio's creative director and producer, Xin Chang, shared details about the future of FragPunk. The game will follow a seasonal format, with each season lasting four months. Each season has two chapters, each lasting two months. When a new chapter starts, players will see new Lancers, new Shard Cards, and possibly new gameplay modes. Each season will also introduce brand-new maps to improve the gaming experience.
