Nova Esports are the Honor of Kings (HOK) Invitational Season 3 champions. The Malaysian team beat Korea's Nongshim RedForce in the Bo7 grand finals.
The grueling ultimate battle was witnessed by HOK fans and gamers at SM North EDSA (Quezon City, Metro Manila) on March 1, 2025. Since it's the first time the Philippines hosted the mobile MOBA game's pre-season tournament, Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group also featured HOK Invitational S3-themed LRT-1 train and "Pag-Asa ng Pinas" theme song performed by rappers Abra and Loonie and social media sensation Malupiton.
James Yang, Level Infinite Global Esports Center's senior director, said:
Congratulations to Nova Esports on winning the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3. What a historic moment to showcase the excitement and growth of Honor of Kings esports. We are also so excited to reveal our plans for the rest of 2025 and beyond, as we continue to build Honor of Kings into a truly global ecosystem. Whether you're a casual player, university player, or professional player, we want to provide opportunities for all. Stay tuned, there's plenty more exciting news on the horizon.
With their thrilling HOK S3 victory, 4-3, Malaysian squad Nova Esports took home the grand prize of USD 100K from the USD 300K prize pool. Second-placer Nongshim RedForce, on the other hand, bagged USD 50K in consolation.
In the best-of-seven (Bo7) finals featuring the Global Ban-Pick System, Malaysia's Nova Esports faced a tough challenge. The Malaysians were down 2-3 in the series against NS RedForce, who were close to winning their first international HOK title.
Nova Esports made a resurgence by winning Game 6, thanks to the MVP performance of Xuan, who played Fuzi and achieved two kills and ten assists.
In the deciding Game 7, both teams battled hard. The Koreans showed strong defenses, but a key two-on-two fight at NS RedForce's base in the 18th minute favored the Malaysians, thanks to top laner Xuan and jungler Cy.
Meanwhile, our Filipino representatives for the HOK Invitational S3 event, including Blacklist International, Elevate, and Rough World Era, placed 3rd-4th, 5th-8th, and 9th-12th, respectively.
