Riot Games and Valorant have officially introduced their newest Duelist Agent, Waylay, Thailand's vibrant Radiant, during the grand finals of VCT Masters: Bangkok. This exciting character reveal comes just in time for the launch of Season 2025 Act 2, which begins on March 5 in the Philippines.
This upcoming act, which comes with Patch 10.04 Update, will also feature the launch of a brand-new Cyrax skin collection for players and an exciting new Battlepass that offers fresh and cool items. More details about the latest Thai agent and Cyrax bundle are below.
Waylay, Her Abilities, and Gameplay
In a blink, Waylay becomes light and dashes across the battlefield, hitting her opponents with shards of light before returning to safety.
Her abilities include:
- Signature
- Refract (E key): Quickly create a light beacon on the floor. Reactivate to travel back to your beacon as a point of pure light. You will be invulnerable while you travel.
- Basic
- Light Speed (Q key): Equip to gear up for a burst of speed. Press FIRE to dash forward two times. Press ALT FIRE to dash once. Remember, only your first dash can lift you upward.
- Saturate (C key): Quickly release a burst of light that explodes when it hits the ground, slowing down nearby players' movement and weapon use.
- Ultimate
- Convergent Paths (X key): Equip to concentrate your prismatic power. FIRE to make an afterimage of yourself that projects a beam of light. After a short delay, you will get a strong speed boost, and the beam will expand, slowing other players nearby.

Waylay's kit highlights her fast movement and basic ability, Light Speed. She can do a quick double dash; the first dash drives her upward and forward faster than Jett's. This skill allows players to cover distances quickly, outmaneuver opponents, gain advantages, and initiate confrontations. Waylay's straightforward mechanics and exceptional mobility make her an effective entry fragger for teams looking to control territory.
Her skills, drawing from Jett and Raze, enhance her role as a "space-taking duelist" beyond just sprinting. For instance, her Refract ability lets her rush in to fight foes and return without risking her life. Valorant Game Designer June Cuervo says Light Speed and Refract allow Waylay to be a "cerebral" entry duelist when partnered with teammates' utility. The Thai agent will change Valorant's meta with her speed, innovation, and team-oriented risk-taking.
Cyrax Skin Bundle and New Battlepass
The S25 Act II also brings Valorant players the Cyrax collection, featuring starforged crystals-themed skins for weapons, such as Ghost, Vandal, Guardian, Stinger, and Fanblade (melee).
Meanwhile, items including the Tactibear Flex, Sloth Tactics Buddy, Doom Wing Phantom, Heartless Card, and Byteshift Ghost will be included in a new Battlepass.
SEA Pride
We now have two duelists in the region. Neon from the Philippines is the first Southeast Asian agent introduced by Valorant in January 2022. Now, the second SEA representative is Waylay from Thailand.
