Grinding Gear Games has launched the Early Access for Path of Exile 2, its much-awaited action role-playing game (RPG), on PC and console platforms.

The Early Access for Path of Exile 2 offers "six characters, distinct endgame content, and couch co-op with full cross-play and cross-progression on all supported platforms," according to the developer.
In Path of Exile (PoE) 2, players can enjoy a dark and exciting adventure alone (solo) or in a group of up to six (party). You can choose from six classes: Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Witch, Mercenary, or Sorceress. As you progress through the game, each class can advance to two different roles. This will be greatly beneficial in clearing waves of monsters during the endgame subsequent to the Campaign's completion.
The continent of Wraeclast, which has been abandoned twenty years after the original Path of Exile, has been devoid of destruction. However, the Count of Ogham, tempted by power, spreads Corruption across the land. This leads to the rise of the undead, the mutation of monsters, and a wave of madness.
The Count administers death sentences to those who challenge him under the shady influence of Corruption. Players must locate the Seed of Corruption, the source of the devastation, after narrowly escaping the grasp of their executioners and ensuring their survival.
Players can expect to battle 50 bosses and face 400 types of monsters in Early Access for Path of Exile 2. The game also introduces seven endgame systems, including Ascension Trials, Delirium, and Rituals. Additionally, there is a new Campaign difficulty called Cruel Difficulty, which allows players to experience Wraeclast again but in a tougher setting with better rewards.
Note that Path of Exile 2 is free to play, except for the paid early access option. The full launch of the game is anticipated in 2025, and it will be entirely free-to-play for all players.
