For the uninitiated, Wrapped is Spotify's annual campaign, which enables users to view a summary of their listening habits on the audio streaming and media platform.
Today, Spotify PH announced that Wrapped 2024 has been released, celebrating the distinctively personal soundtracks that millions of users created for their years with its eagerly anticipated campaign. Access to the personalized 2024 Wrapped, which is brimming with new features, is now available to eligible users.
This year, Wrapped offers more than just your top artists, genres, songs, and podcasts. Fans can now browse the evolution of their musical preferences over the course of the year with the new features.
This year's personalized Spotify Wrapped experience consists of the following:
- "Your Music Evolution" highlights your music interests from 2024. It helps you explore the musical phases that shaped your year. This will lead to the creation of Your Music Evolution Playlist, a personalized compilation featuring your favorite songs and recommendations based on your unique musical experiences.
- "Your Top Artist Reimagined" changes how users view the artist who was most popular for them this year. Now, Spotify has added the "Longest Listening Streak" feature and the "Top Listeners" feature, which tells users what percentage of listeners they are among.
- "Your Music Videos Playlist" offers Premium users a personalized selection of music videos from their favorite artists this year, all in one place.
- Listeners can explore the music from this year, accessing the Top 100 Songs and the Top 20 Artists. You can add these to "Your Library" and enjoy them as a playlist.
- Artist Clips and Podcaster Clips will be awarded to fans, regardless of whether they are a musician's fandom or a creator's devoted listener, as a token of appreciation for their devotion to their preferred artists and podcasters. This feature lets top listeners hear directly from a variety of artists, including SB19, Ben&Ben, Cup of Joe, Billie Eilish, Illest Morena, Sabrina Carpenter, and many others.
2024 Spotify Wrapped Philippines Top Lists
Besides the personalized features, Spotify revealed the top artists, songs, and podcasts of 2024. This year brought its own trends, moments, and movements that shaped the music scene.
In the Philippines, local fans are helping new Pinoy artists and homegrown music genres become more popular. This year, RADAR artist Hev Abi has been named Spotify Wrapped Philippines' Top Local Artist, showing that the Pinoy hip-hop genre is here to stay. He is joined by fellow RADAR artists and P-Pop group BINI, who took the #2 spot. The list of top local artists also includes balladeers Arthur Nery at #3, TJ Monterde at #4, and folk-pop band Ben&Ben at #5. This highlights the wide range of talent and music styles that Filipino fans enjoy.
Moreover, Filipino Spotify users celebrated local music this year. The Spotify Wrapped Philippines' Top Songs feature homegrown hits. Leading the list is "Babaero," a collaboration by gins&melodies and Hev Abi. Maki's emotional solo song "Dilaw" is in second place. Dionela's soulful track "Sining," featuring Jay R, holds the third spot. Hev Abi's powerful song "Walang Alam" is fourth, and BINI's lively P-Pop song "Pantropiko" rounds out the top five. Further, Taylor Swift topped the Philippines Top Artist of 2024 category. Hev Abi is in second place. Ariana Grande is third, followed by BINI in fourth. Bruno Mars is fifth.
The Philippines' Top Podcasts of the Year show that Filipinos enjoy local and varied content. Love & Relationships podcasts lead the charts, while Horror is becoming popular. "Barangay Love Stories" took the #1 spot, and "Dear MOR" is at #3. "skypodcast" is at #5. In the Horror category, "Sitio Bangungot - Pinoy Horror Stories for Sleep Podcast" is #2, and "Kwentong Takipsilim Pinoy Tagalog Horror Stories Podcast" is #4. This trend highlights a growing interest in eerie stories.
