Genshin Impact 5.1 update is slated for release on October 9, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Genshin Impact version 5.1 patch, titled "The Rainbow Destined to Burn," introduces the continuation of Natlan's main storyline, a new 5-star Geo character, seasonal events with rewards, and various in-game optimizations.
Meanwhile, HoYoverse already published the game's 4th Anniversary Theme Song, "Passing Memories," produced by HOYO-MiX and sung by Faouzia, and is now available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Genshin Impact Version 5.1 Update Overview
After the Archon Quest, the Natlan region needs help to escape destruction and the Abyss. Citlali, a Masters of the Night-Wind member, will help players and Xilonen craft an Ancient Name for the Traveler. Meanwhile, her tribemate Ororon is preparing a secret plan. By completing the two new Archon Quest acts in Version 5.1, players can earn 500 Primogems for saving Natlan. Complete World Quests and gain Natlan Exploration Progress to get up to 400 Primogems.
Xilonen is a skilled smith and a brave warrior who made the Pyro Archon's eyewear. This five-star Geo Sword wielder skates and leaps up cliff walls, unlike typical climbers. Using Samplers, Xilonen can heal teammates or reduce opponents' Elemental RES in combat. All three Samplers record Geo Source Samples, which Xilonen can quickly activate with her Elemental Skill to reduce foes' Geo Elemental RES and boost her Normal and Plunging Attack DMG. The Source Samples will experience Elemental Conversion and change colors when she joins up with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro characters. However, they can only be activated after maxing out her Nightsoul Points using Normal Attacks to reduce enemies' Elemental RES. If at least 2 Source Samples change color, Xilonen can activate them faster, altering her Elemental Burst from Geo AoE DMG to healing surrounding active teammates. Also, she can initiate a Nightsoul Transmission to aid the team in restoring Phlogiston.
Xilonen will appear in the first half of Genshin Impact Version 5.1 Event Wishes, along with Chiori, while Nahida and Hu Tao appear in the second. Further, the Natlan area adds the "Secret Source Constructor," a powerful ancient construction machine in a lost cave, as additional allies join the team.
Here are some of the events that we can expect. The Sabzeruz Festival, celebrating Lesser Lord Kusanali's birthday, fills Sumeru's streets with music. Players will join Tighnari, Dehya, and Collei to surprise Nahida's birthday by playing the Knight of Flowers and escorting her carriage through the festival parade. Port Ormos' festivities include "Rocking Carriage," where players pilot a carriage to collect flowers and avoid obstacles; "Interreflection of Reality and Dreams," which requires players to spot anomalies in the dream world; and a Knight of Flowers combat challenge. Earn Festive Fervor with these activities to receive rewards, including free Candace recruitment.
Moreover, Version 5.1 brings quality-of-life improvements to Spiral Abyss, Artifacts, Character Ascension, and Echo Cosmetics. The Spiral Abyss now lets players skip Floor 9 if they got full stars on Floor 11 in the previous version. Players who accomplished Floor 12 with full stars can skip Floors 9 and 10. Character ascension is now more intuitive, with inventory updates showing craftable material quantities. An updated Crafting Bench formula filter simplifies crafting management. In addition, the character Artifact interface will store Artifact Set filters and affix sorting settings for specific slots, avoiding the need to reset them after each session. Finally, new Envisaged Echoes challenges in the current version unlock Zhongli and Keqing's Echoes.
