Fnatic Onic win MPL PH Season 14 to qualify for M6 Worlds

Fnatic Onic hailed MPL Philippines Season 14 champions, securing its slot for the prestigious M6 World Championship tournament.

The new kings, team Fnatic Onic PH (FNOP), emerged victorious in nerve-racking best-of-seven grand finals against Aurora MLBB (RORA) at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

In a close match, Fnatic Onic PH defeated Aurora MLBB, 4-3, securing the title as the strongest MPL Philippines esports team.

With the long-desired win, Fnatic Onic PH received the most significant portion of USD 46,860 (roughly PHP 2.6 million) from the USD 150,000 (~PHP 8.6M) prize pool.

Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming settled for a second-place finish, taking home USD 29,160 (~PHP 1.6M) in consolation.

In MPL PH S14, Fnatic Onic PH showed off their incredible dominance under the guidance of head coach Tony Senedrin and assistant coach Jeniel Bata-anon. Although they only lost once to Smart Omega (during the regular season), their dominating performance in the playoffs demonstrated their strength.

Kelra was named the Grand Finals MVP title for his exceptional performance, which helped the team win the championship and secure the most prestigious title of the season.

The Philippines will be represented by both Fnatic Onic PH and Aurora MLBB at the forthcoming M6 World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in December 2024.

With this, Kelra has achieved another significant milestone by returning to the international stage following his most recent global appearance at the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021.

The M6 World Championship, the most prestigious and largest Mobile Legends esports tournament in the world, will feature 16 of the most elite teams globally and a prize pool that has been increased to USD 1 million (~PHP 57M).
