The occult action anime TV series "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" is set to air in the summer of 2025, REMOW announced. The Japanese entertainment company also revealed the voice actor for the main character, Nube, and a poster that shows the first still of hell's messenger of justice.
In the new adaptation of Hell Teacher Nube, Ryotaro Okiayu (VA of Kunimitsu Tezuka in The Prince of Tennis and Kokushibo in Demon Slayer) will voice the protagonist, Meisuke Nueno, also known as "Nube," who is a cheerful and benevolent teacher cherished by his pupils. He strives to safeguard them from ghosts, malevolent spirits, and other peculiar occurrences despite occasionally exhibiting a clumsy, mischievous character.
Moreover, REMOW is excited to share a new teaser visual along with the casting announcement (https://youtu.be/tlZfFwhzM0A). In the special movie, viewers will hear Nube's famous line when he reveals his hidden Demon's Hand. Later, Ryotaro Okiayu will appear to talk about his feelings on playing the role of Nube.
Meanwhile, the second teaser image shows a strong Nube with a fierce look on his face, raising his Demon's Hand. The new version of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube will be animated by STUDIO KAI.
For the uninitiated, "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" is a manga created by Shou Makura (story) and Takeshi Okano (art). It was published in SHUEISHA's "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine from year 1993 to 1999. The manga has sold over 29 million copies, making it a famous occult comic in Japan. The story, inspired by classic ghost tales and urban legends, has entertained readers for years. The main character, Nube, is a psychic teacher who bravely protects his students from these supernatural dangers. This has helped keep the comedy horror series popular for generations. Now, a new anime adaptation of Nube will premiere in the third quarter of 2025.
To celebrate the announcement of the new Hell Teacher Nube anime, "It's Anime" by REMOW is giving away signed shikishi boards by Ryotaro Okiayu. This limited-time giveaway is for fans outside of Japan only. You can enter the contest on @ItsAnimeJP's X (Twitter) account.

Further, a child voice actor contest will take place in Japan to cast one student. The grand prize winner will record a role in the anime Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube as a student from Domori Elementary School and will appear in the show as a character based on their appearance.
