Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) maker Moonton Games revealed that the release date of Kalea, the Surging Wave, is on March 19, 2025. It also provided a guide on how players can redeem the newest support hero for free for a limited time. More details below.

Get Kalea for Free
From March 19 to April 1, you can obtain the new support hero for free. You can unlock Kalea's Hero Pass with Diamonds or a mix of Diamonds and Battle Points.
Players who buy the Hero Pass with in-game Diamonds will receive a full refund after 21 days of logging in during the event. If both Diamonds and Battle Points are used to purchase the pass, only the Diamonds will be returned.
Kalea - Hero Overview
Kalea proudly guards the Vonestis Sea. Kalea, a trusted ally who specializes in close combat and single-target Crowd Control (CC), will help coordinate team fights in the new meta. Expect her to create waves as the Land of Dawn's newest support/fighter hero with her serpent tail and formidable fists.
Every aspect of Kalea symbolizes island life. Her design depicts Southeast Asian folklore's powerful sea spirit. Her island folklore background and aquamarine color palette honor the region's coastline waters and cultural and natural history.
Abilities and Gameplay
Kalea uses her human and serpent sides to dominate the battlefield. She bravely faces opponents with her close combat skills and powerful fists. Her mortal strength and snake power allow her to control the sea elements and land devastating blows while healing and assisting her teammates.
Here are Kalea's abilities.
- Passive – Surge of Live
- Kalia produces a Water Zone in her present position after casting any skill. Kalea will absorb a Water Zone to boost her next three Basic Attacks if she casts a skill there. She will heal herself and her lowest HP ally.
- Skill 1 – Wavebreaker
- Kalea slams her hand into the ground, slowing down enemies nearby and doing Physical Damage to them.
- Skill 2 – Tidal Strike / Rolling Wave
- This skill consists of two parts.
- Kalea uses a Tidal Strike to cause physical damage by grabbing and slamming the first opponent she hits. If Kalea meets an obstacle or Water Zone edge during the dash, she will activate Rolling Wave and jump.
- Cast the second skill (Rolling Wave) again to dive at the target, causing Physical Damage and knocking foes airborne.
- Ultimate – Tsunami Slam
- Kalea takes an enemy hero with her tail and leaps into the air before slamming down in the specified direction, delivering Physical Damage to the target and adjacent enemies.
